Cervical spondylosis is a common orthopedic disease in life. White collar workers are the high incidence group of cervical spondylosis. Cervical spondylosis will affect physical and mental health, daily work and life. Massage is also a good method to prevent and treat cervical spondylosis. Next, we will introduce the four tips of neck massage.
(1) Knead the neck:
In the sitting position, the index finger, middle finger and ring finger of one hand are close together, and the neck on the same side is kneaded with the rib surface of three fingers, starting from Fengchi point at the back hairline to the horizontal surface of Dazhui point. Repeat the operation for 5 times, and then change hands to knead the neck on the other side. Finally, press and knead the middle line behind the neck, from the height of Fengchi point to the height of Dazhui point. This maneuver can prevent and cure neck muscle strain, pillow fall and cervical spondylosis.
(2) Horizontal rubbing neck:
In the sitting position, place the palm of one hand at the Fengchi acupoint on the side of the neck, rub it to the Fengchi acupoint on the opposite side of the neck, and rub it repeatedly for 10 times. Then, gradually move downward, repeatedly rub left and right while moving downward until Dazhui point is high. This manipulation has the effects of warming the meridians and expelling cold, activating collaterals and relieving pain, and has a good effect on strong neck pain caused by external factors, as well as pillow, cervical spondylosis and neck muscle strain.
(3) Pinch the neck muscle:
In the sitting position, place the thumb, index finger and middle finger of one hand opposite each other at the Fengchi acupoints on both sides, and then use the holding method to lift them from top to bottom along the neck muscle to the root of the neck, and repeat the operation for 3 to 5 times. This maneuver has the functions of dispersing wind chill, relieving spasm and pain, and is commonly used to prevent and treat wind chill headache, pillow, neck muscle strain, cervical spondylosis, dizziness and other diseases.
(4) Sliding bridge bow:
In sitting position, with the head leaning to one side, push and wipe the radial side of the thumb of one hand along the sternocleidomastoid muscle from top to bottom for 30 times, and then do the other side after finishing one side. This maneuver can lower blood pressure and slow down the heart rhythm. It is often used in the prevention and treatment of hypertension, tachycardia and other diseases. It is worth noting that this maneuver must not be operated on both sides at the same time, nor can it be used for hypotension and bradycardia. Manual operation shall be slow and gentle.
